Claire has worked in the medical negligence field since 2003, qualifying as a solicitor in February 2009.
She moved from a leading Bristol based firm to join the Powell & Co team in August 2019. Claire has a Master of Laws in Health Care Law & Ethics from the University of Manchester and is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence accreditation scheme.
Claire has experience in a wide range of medical negligence claims, including those involving: abdominal surgery particularly gallbladder surgery and bile duct injuries; gynaecological and orthopaedic injuries; nerve damage; GP, A&E and ambulance service negligence; psychiatric injuries; delays in diagnosis of cancer; and brain injuries in both adults and children, including cerebral palsy. She is also able to advise and assist clients in connection with fatal claims and inquests. She has particular experience in acting for vulnerable adults.
She is extremely skilled and knowledgeable, and works tirelessly for her clients.
Claire enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors. She is a fair-weather gardener and is passionate about British wildlife. She enjoys good music, good books and being creative when time permits.
